Technical Support F.A.Q's
Q. With a leg length discrepancy how much do we recommend correcting ?
A. We generally recommend correcting a leg length discrepancy by half.
Q. What do we recommend for plantar flexed 1st Ray?
A. 1st met cut out pad - 2-5 met bar - 2-4 met dome - These all assist plantarflexion.
When a patient is unable to tolerate too much plantarflexion we might recommend filling a 1st met cut out pad with pink poron to prevent too much movement and provide extra cushioning (common in supinators).
Q. When do we recommend Special Fitting Service?
A. Special Fitting Service is only recommended for those patients requiring complex forefoot and midfoot additions.
Q. What is the highest heel raise we can attach?
A. We can attach up to a 30mm heel raise but the patient must have a shoe to accommodate this –not recommended on Carbon Flex or Podofirm devices.
